The Power of One Simple Question

What I’m about to share with you is so powerful… that most people completely ignore it.

  • Not because it doesn’t work.
  • Not because it’s complicated.
  • But because it’s so simple, it almost feels too obvious.

And yet — simple is what works.

This one technique will help you:

  • Lose weight
  • Save time
  • Stop procrastinating

And basically get better at anything you care about

  • It doesn’t require a journal, an app, or a Fitbit.
  • All you need is a goal — a clear objective you’re aiming for.
  • And then, every time you make a decision, you ask:
  • “Will this take me CLOSER to my goal, or FURTHER away from it?”

That’s it.

97% of the time… the answer is black and white

Almost everything you do is either helping you or harming you.

It’s moving you towards your dream, or pulling you further from it.

Especially with weight loss.

Because, unlike some goals, this one is brutally honest.

  • What you eat…
  • What you drink…
  • What you say yes or no to…

…it all shows up later on your body.

A few quick examples

Let’s do a quick demo:

  • Will an extra piece of cake take you closer to losing 10 pounds — or further from it?
  • Will taking the stairs help you get fitter than standing in a lift?
  • Will skipping today’s walk make your jeans fit better — or tighter?
  • Will another scroll through social media help your confidence — or waste another hour?
  • Will drinking water fill you up better than crisps at 10pm?

You know the answers.

You always know the answers.

What about the other 3%?

Yes — sometimes, the choice is neutral.

Sometimes what you eat or do doesn’t push you forward or knock you back.

But those moments are rare.

And they don’t matter much either way.

What matters is the 97% of decisions you can influence.

And when you see it like this, it’s shockingly clear what needs to change.

My “AHA” moment

Maybe I’m a bit slow…

…but when I finally saw how powerful this question was, it genuinely changed everything.

Now, whenever I feel that voice creeping in — you know the one:

  • “Go on… have the chocolate… it’s only a little bit…”
  • I pause.
  • And I ask:
  • “Will this take me closer to my goal, or further away?”

Nine times out of ten, that moment of clarity is all I need.

The power of simple

No charts. No guilt. No calorie counting.

  • Just a question you can ask a hundred times a day:
  • “Is this choice moving me towards what I want?”
  • It’s not always easy — but it is simple.

Try it. Use it. Live by it.

It’s not a diet. It’s not a rulebook.

It’s just common sense with teeth.

And it works.
